By Ali, Matilda Motel Bundaberg
I recently made the commitment to get up that little bit earlier so that I can get out and walk around this pretty town of Bundaberg. Not only is it good for my physical health but I also find it extraordinarily good for the soul and an important start to my day. My favourite path is down along the Burnett River and depending on my mood, or the weather, I will either mix it up by walking back through the town centre or retracing my path to enjoy the beautiful river scenery from the reverse angle.
Bundy is a warm welcoming country town and a casual nod of the head or a cheerful ‘morning’ is common amongst those others enjoying their morning ritual.
We are very lucky to have beautifully kept parks and gardens close by the Matilda Motel and if you prefer to just sit under an old fig tree in Alexandra Park or enjoy the seasonal flower beds of Buss Park you will find lovely pockets of green perfect for quiet reflection, a brisk walk or for the more vigorous amongst us, a jog.
So whilst we are convenient to the CBD, which definitely has its frenetic moments, if you pick the right time of day you can find the perfect place to either prepare for your busy day ahead or unwind after one. And remember if you pass me on your walk, make sure to say ‘morning’.
We look forward to meeting you when you stay with us at the Matilda Motel Bundaberg. Call us and book direct on (07) 4151 4717 receive our best rates.
